First Aid Addendum

We extend a warm welcome from Low Furness Primary School and hope that the website gives you a true indication of all we have to offer, but the best way to get the real feel of the ethos of our school is to come and visit us with your child. Hope to see you soon! If you choose to join us then we hope that your child’s stay here will be both enjoyable and profitable. This website has been designed to give you a brief background of our school, our children, our staff and our school family.

If you ever have any questions, or are unclear about anything happening in school, please do not hesitate to contact us. What may seem a small worry to a child can grow into a major concern if not addressed. We believe in working closely with Parents and Carers and we feel that by working together as a team your child will gain the maximum from their time at Low Furness.

St.Mary's Hospice coast to coast fundraiser

Because we can't complete our usual sports day we have decided to do a sponsored walk. All members of our school will be walking or running as individuals. We will add our mileage together and hopefully walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay. If we walk far enough we might even get back home again !! We know St Mary's Hospice are missing out on fundraising at the moment and we would like to help out in some small way. Ifd you would like to donate please visit Justgiving.com and search for Low Furness Virtual Coast to Coast

Sports Award 2019-2020

We are very pleased and proud to announce that we have been awarded a Sports Award due to the number of our children who have taken part in sporting activities over the last year. Well done everyone !

Low Furness-support in the Community over lockdown

The Governors would like to congratulate Anne and Tracey on cooking and coordinating a 'Meals on Wheels' delivery service to vulnerable people in our local community over the lockdown period. With the help of a team of bakers and delivery drivers they organised over 70 meals at a time and distributed them to Urswick,Scales and Stainton. Anne was very grateful for the use of the facilities !! Many thanks to all those who donated money, food and time to make this possible. This has been a brilliant example of the whole community coming together at a time of crisis and need.Well done ladies.

Science Day

We celebrated our Science Day with a visit from the very entertaining Professor Bubbleworks. Each year group had a fantastic workshop. Everyone learnt a lot about high and low pressure and how an airplane stays in the air !
