Race For Life

On Wednesday the 13th June the whole school took part in the Cancer Reaserch Race For Life. Everyone wore something pink and a memory card in support of someone affected by cancer. We have raised over a £1000 - a truly fantastic total.

Wheelchair Basketball

On the 12th June the amazing Nat Pattinson paid us a visit. THe whole school had a fantastic day learning to play wheelchair basketball.

Lancaster Castle visit

On Monday the 4th June years 5 and 6 went on a trip to Lancaster Castle where they were treated do a guided tour around the Civil and Criminal Courts. The highlights of the day, however,were being locked in the cells and practising 'Furness Slap Dancing' at The University of Cumbria !

Royal Wedding celebrations

On Friday the 18th of May there was a school party to celebrate the Royal Wedding.It was a lovely afternoon- the sun shone, the children and parents had a great time and to top it all we even had some Royal visitors !

Congratulations to Rose Hartley

Many congratulations go to Rose Hartley on winning the Rotary Club writing competition, "From a different perspective." Rose's entry will now go forward to the National final.It was very interesting seeing things from Alexa's point of view !
