Our Pupils In Action

Low Furness CE Primary School is a product of our amazing pupils.  We encourage pupils' active participation in the running of our school.  Most of the responsibility is undertaken by our oldest pupils in Year 5 and 6, for example Head Boy and Girl, their deputies and class librarians.  Additionally we have a hard working and successful School Council.  The council is made up of two representatives, one boy and one girl,  from each year group from Reception to Year 6 and they are ably supported by Teaching Assistant Alison Stubbs and Governor Sarah Callaghan.

Head Boy and Head girl, their deputies and the school council representatives are democratically elected by their classmates early in the autumn term.  This is always and exciting time in school as the prosepective candidates make speeches to outline their hopes and intentions.

We also have a thriving Eco-council who work hard to look after our incredible school grounds and our hens as well as raising awareness of ecological issues and the need to be green!

The Fair Trade Committee is made up of pupils, staff, governors and volunteers who share the desire to inform others of the importance of supporting Fair Trade producers in our role as global citizens.

We are very proud of all our pupils but special credit is due to the pupils who take on additional responsibility and duties. Thank you.
